 Information pack

There is an INFORMATION PACK at casa belmonte which is full of useful facts about where to buy an English newspaper, the nearest bakery, supermarkets, opening hours, restaurants and other essentials like how the washing machine works, etc. There are also a couple of hand drawn maps showing the back roads to the two nearest villages. If you need to know anything else, we are always at the end of the phone to help. We can also organize a taxi for up to 10 guests if you would like a meal out at our favourite Periana restaurant!

For those of you who want some action our information pack gives contacts you can call about any of the following -  horse riding, guided walks, mountain biking, quad day trips, boat trips, etc. Or email us in advance of your holiday to get the details.

There is also information on more cultural days out either inland or on the coast

Goodies to eat

Wander through the almonds and olives behind the house to collect eggs ( we keep 5 hens)  and discover whats growing in the organic herb garden at the front of casa belmonte.

Green credentials

We have made the farmhouse as 'green' as possible. As well as solar hot water the house has solar underfloor heating for the cooler winter months. The lounge also has a pellet stove to reduce our carbon footprint. Pellets are made locally from almond husks and olive stones. The water from the two shower rooms is recycled and used to irrigate the plants around the house. We use energy saving bulbs wherever/whenever possible and are always aware to turn lights off and save water by not running taps unnecessarily. Water is a precious commodity here in Andalusia.
