Casa Belmonte's Green Side

We have taken action to make the farmhouse as 'green' as possible. As well as solar hot water the house has solar underfloor heating for the cooler winter months. The lounge also has a pellet stove to reduce our carbon footprint. Pellets are made locally from almond husks and olive stones. The water from the 2 shower rooms is recycled and used as irrigation for the plants around the house. We have tried to use energy saving bulbs wherever/whenever possible and are always aware to turn lights off and save water by not running taps unnecessarily. Water is a precious commodity here in Andalucia.
